Ellen Keukenmeester Povilénas is a service systems designer based in Copenhagen. Founder of Circularity Centre Denmark, focusing on making circularity actionable and accessible to everyone.
Her work sits at the intersection of circularity, systems thinking and human behaviour. With a holistic approach to complex challenges, she explores how the systems around us can be redesigned to make sustainable and regenerative ways of living easier, more accessible and more engaging. Through Circularity Centre Denmark, she develops educational programmes and practical experiences that help people understand circularity not as an abstract concept, but as something they can actively participate in.
Ellen is particularly interested in the connection between individual action and systemic change. She believes that meaningful transformation requires looking beyond isolated solutions and understanding the relationships between people, communities, organisations and the wider systems they are part of. Her work combines service design, education and community-building to create practical pathways towards more resilient and regenerative systems.
