Rudolf Berkes is a researcher at Eötvös Loránd University, based in Budapest. His research focuses on how geopolitical competition around AI impacts politics and security policy in the United States.

In his current position, he researches US AI policy as part of the Algorithmic Constitutionalism Research Group, funded by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.

Previously he was a Foreign Policy Analyst at Political Capital Institute, an independent Hungarian think tank, working on analysing Hungarian foreign policy, Russian information warfare and geopolitics.
